ReplyDeleteI think that the book Caleb is a very good book but i think that Caleb is a very weird child. this book connects to Charles Darwin as it is all about bugs.in the book both of Caleb's parents died i think that this connects to Charles Darwin as his mum died at a young age.i think that the charecter Caleb is based on Charles Darwin because they are both intrested in bugs.
ReplyDeleteCharles Darwin had interest on animals which reflected on his learning he didn't want to become a doctor or a priest in comparison to Caleb they are alike because of there interest on all species.
ReplyDeleteFrom reading that website i discovered that charles liked to explore from a young age as when he was young he would collect and find many bugs having some kind of interest in them. It then continued as he got older when he got the chance to go on a trip around the world were he got inspired about evolution by an author . Like caleb he likes to explore bugs and many other things he is also a very interesting piece of information.

ReplyDeleteFrom reading the book Caleb i found out that Caleb is obsessed with insects.He was so interested with insects that he chose to sleep in the attic because he loves bugs.He's a teenager whose father has passed on but not has not passed away in his opinion just like his male ancestors.The relation to Charles Darwin and Caleb is that they were both at a young age when they became very interested with insects.
I think the book caleb is good but he is a very weird child I also found out that charles darwin and caleb both like bugs at a young age.
ReplyDeleteOn the website there was a lab in the garden.Charles is a big fan of bug collecting.In the book Caleb is a human form made of insects.When Charles mum passed away it reminded me of when Calebs dad passed away and Caleb said' my dad passed on instead of passed away'.

ReplyDeletecharles darwin and caleb dad have a lot in common i think that the entire charachter and book is based on charles darwin since charles believed in the theory of evolution and how things get passed on just like how caleb said that he got his eye colour from his ancestors and he s grateful for that . and the story is flowing in the same way like ishmael .
From reading the book "Caleb" and the website on Charles Darwin I made the connection that Caleb was obsessed with insects and Charles would stuff Creepy Crawlies into his pockets and when charles was traveling around the world he saw all of those strange animals that proves his theory of evolution.

charles darwins father was a very fat person and caleb was very skinny.
Also charles mums died and calebs mum died aswell.

Charles Darwin was a man who researched nature and made us change the way we think about flora and fauna. The way this connects to Caleb is that they both like researching nature but Charles didn't have a partner to research with.

2)He had around four older sister & a big brother called: Erasmus.
3)Even though his father was not around that much he still love him.

1)In the story his Cable father died but when that boy in the story said what about your mother he said nothing.
2) I think that Charles wrote this book about his own life.

DeleteI think Charles Darwin is a lot like Caleb because they both have a lot to do with insects and when Charles Darwin was a small boy his mother died this is probably why Caleb doesn't talk about his mum.

I think that Caleb could be a half insect and half human because the pictures in the book matches with his body and his actions.
