  1. The illustrator had the stepmother and the snow white on the same page.
So we can see the difference in the stepmother who is mean and snow white who is a poor nice daughter.

    1. Thanks for your response Navreet. Can you give some specific examples of how the illustrator emphasises the two different personalities. One example might be the use of different colours and lines...

  2. It like a realistic Snow White except the part where SHE DIES and then resurrected BY NOTHING. Its about Snow White...IN NEW YORK, but without the title, it could be "Snow White in an unknown city in real life". And why is there shapes everywhere in the design???

I think snow white in new york has interesting illustrations because of the techniques that fiona french used to get the effects on the pictures.

what can you contrast between this story and the original snow white?

that she got poisoned and died but somehow came back to life.

    2. Hi Madelyn,
thanks for your response. Can you give me some examples of these interesting illustrations and suggest why you think Fiona French chose to use them. Maybe they enhance the story somehow? Be specific.

  5. i liked how the illustrator compared snow white and the evil queen by color. also, how she drew the details of the evil queen, e.g the evil queens envy eyes

The similarities from the regular snow white were ...

    evil step mother (witch)
she gets poisoned (even though she had something stuck in her throat which was weird)
    the seven men (seven dwarfs)
getting in love with the reporter (aka prince)

The illustration on page 5-6 was of the step mother and snow white. these two pictures resemble the differences between the two women. Snow white is a kind lady whether the step mother is an evil witch.
This story was boring and dumb because it was a stupid retake on a classic story which made it worse. The ending was the weirdest part of the story.

    1. I agree with you ash and Jaiden because the step mother is very nasty in the movie and in the book.
